Most people we meet with don’t know what healthy eating looks like.
It’s not uncommon for people to say, “We eat pretty good.” Only to uncover that it’s not good at all.
What is healthy eating?
CrossFit’s nutrition prescription is a good place to start and it’s simple:
Base your diet on garden vegetables, especially greens, lean meats, nuts and seeds, little starch, and no sugar.
2 Helpful Tips:
*For starters, shop on the perimeter of the grocery store where the real food is. Real food is perishable, rather quickly.
*Prepare and cook your own food as much as possible.
How much to eat, meal timing, and other great questions are best served during nutrition coaching.
Everyone is at a different place and general guidelines only go so far.
We take into account your age, activity level, stress, sleep, and other factors when we prescribe a nutrition plan.
A great place to start if you don’t know what to do is to simply eat real food and follow the CrossFit prescription.
